The Gators men’s basketball team (18-13, 9-9 SEC) is the No. 8 seed in the SEC Tournament after defeating Missouri 82-72 to close out the regular season on Saturday night.

Florida will take on ninth-seeded Arkansas (16-15, 9-9 SEC) to start the SEC tournament at 1 p.m. on Thursday in a game televised on the SEC Network from Nashville, Tenn. The winner between the Gators and the Razorbacks will advance to face top-seeded Texas A&M at 1 p.m. on Friday in the quarterfinals.

The Gators will likely need at least three wins in the conference tournament, which would land them in the SEC championship game, to earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament. Florida is currently one of the “First Four Out” of the NCAA Tournament, according to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi’s bracket.
