NFL Draft 2016: What are analysts saying about the seven Gators draftees?

After a long three days, the 2016 NFL Draft is over.

Seven Gators players had their names called, as CB Vernon Hargreaves, S Keanu Neal, DL Jonathan Bullard, ILB Antonio Morrison, WR Demarcus Robinson, RB Kelvin Taylor and DE Alex McCalister were all drafted by NFL teams. Florida’s Jake McGee signs with Panthers as undrafted free agent

After Gators cornerback Vernon Hargreaves (11th overall, Tampa Bay) and safety Keanu Neal (17th overall, Atlanta) were drafted in the first round Thursday, defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard became the latest Florida product to be selected. NFL Draft 2016: Gators DBs Vernon Hargreaves, Keanu Neal picked in first round

The Gators like to brag about their secondary. The unit even fought over the title of “Defensive Back University,” more commonly known as “DBU,” this offseason.

Well, Florida’s secondary had plenty to brag about on the first day of the 2016 NFL Draft on Thursday. Gators cornerback Vernon Hargreaves was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 11th overall pick and strong safety Keanu Neal was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons with the 17th overall pick.
