Miami Heat rookie Justise Winslow had dreams of playing football for the Gators

Basketball is Justise Winslow’s sport. But if the 20-year-old Winslow had opted to play football, he might have been in Gainesville right now.

While the Miami Heat forward and former Duke basketball player waited for his table at a restaurant, he decided to open it up for a Twitter question and answer session Thursday night. One of Winslow’s followers asked him, “If you were a football player, what position would you play and for what team?”

Winslow’s response?

“Tight end and University of Florida.”

At 6-foot-7, 225 pounds, Winslow would bring unique size to the position. Winslow’s has a connection to football, too. His older brother, Josh Winslow, played as a defensive back at Dartmouth.
