Bradenton-Victory Rock Prep center Gorjok Gak announced through Twitter on Sunday night that he committed to the Gators. The 6-foot-10, 205-pound Gak is listed as a three-star prospect and as the 26th-best center in the 2016 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Gak initially signed with Oklahoma State, but he was granted a release from his National Letter of Intent last month after the Cowboys parted ways with head coach Travis Ford. Gak picked Florida over Arizona State.

“It’s been a long and rugged process but couldn’t have done it without my family and basketball family,” Gak wrote on Twitter. “It’s a good day to be a GATOR!!”

Gak, who is an Australia native, averaged 10.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks for Victory Prep this past season.

Gak joins a pair of early signees — four-star guard Eric Hester and three-star forward Dontay Bassett — as the third player in the Gators’ 2016 recruiting class. Coach Mike White’s first full recruiting class is now ranked 58th nationally by 247Sports.

White has picked up two commitments over the past week. 2017 four-star guard/forward DeAundrae Ballard committed to Florida last week.
