Even after seven Gators were selected in the 2016 NFL Draft, some were left as undrafted free agents.
Just minutes after the draft, Florida tight end Jake McGee announced he would sign with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent. Shortly after McGee found his NFL team, Florida cornerback Brian Poole made it known he agreed to a free agent deal with the Atlanta Falcons.
Who are the Gators’ other undrafted free agents who have found NFL landing spots?
Wide receiver Valdez Showers is headed to the Washington Redskins. Showers will join running backs Mack Brown and Matt Jones, cornerback Quinton Dunbar, and tight end Jordan Reed as former Gators on Washington’s roster.
Offensive lineman Trip Thurman will get a shot with the Cincinnati Bengals. Defensive end Carlos Dunlap is the only other Gator on Cincinnati’s roster.
