1. QB talk: Gators coach Jim McElwain was asked what he would like to see each Gators quarterback improve upon. Here’s what McElwain said

2. Pay day: Former Gators tight end Jordan Reed had a good day yesterday. The Redskins announced Thursday that they signed tight end Jordan Reed to a multiyear extension reportedly worth $50 million over five years. Not bad for Reed, who signed with Florida in 2009 as a four-star prospect.

3. Francis-Ramirez transferring: In case you missed it, Florida’s men’s basketball team announced Wednesday that redshirt freshman guard Brandone Francis-Ramirez is transferring. The Gators now have 11 players for 13 scholarship spots, which leaves two openings on the roster.
