Sports writers and SEC coaches weren’t the only ones reminiscing about Steve Spurrier this week.

A fan, at the Twitter account @rich599, showed off a tattoo of Spurrier while he was at the University of Florida. The tattoo captures Spurrier shortly after the Gators won the 2000 SEC Championship.

Spurrier also won a national championship with Florida in 1996. Spurrier won five SEC titles while at Florida, his last coming in 2000. Spurrier left the Gators in 2001. He returned to the SEC in 2005 to coach the South Carolina Gamecocks. Spurrier remained at the school until he abruptly retired this past season.

Earlier this week, Spurrier expressed regret with how his final season at South Carolina went.

Will Muschamp also said at SEC Media Days that he was no Spurrier. Like the Head Ball Coach, Muschamp also coached at Florida and South Carolina.
