The Gators men’s basketball team is set to add another transfer to its roster.
After bringing in graduate transfer Canyon Barry — the son of NBA Hall of Famer Rick Barry — earlier this week, Florida will add guard Jalen Hudson to its roster. Hudson is transferring from Virginia Tech to Florida and picked the Gators over Texas, according to ESPN‘s Jeff Goodman. Brandone Francis-Ramirez is transferring from Florida, the school announced Wednesday.
The 6-foot-5 redshirt freshman guard averaged 2.0 points on 20.2 percent shooting and 1.0 rebounds in 29 games last season. The Gators men’s basketball team added a big commitment to its 2016 class, both literally and figuratively.
Bradenton-Victory Rock Prep center Gorjok Gak announced through Twitter on Sunday night that he committed to the Gators. The 6-foot-10, 205-pound Gak is listed as a three-star prospect and as the 26th-best center in the 2016 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
